Shen Shi never expected to wake up inside the very novel he had written. While most people would be thrilled to find themselves in their own fantasy world, he quickly realizes that things have gone terribly wrong.

For starters, he isn’t the protagonist.

Instead of becoming the story’s chosen hero, Shen Shi finds himself playing a supporting role in a plot he thought he knew inside and out. To make matters even more confusing, he soon discovers that the overpowered male protagonist he created is actually a girl in disguise.

As if that revelation weren’t shocking enough, Shen Shi’s peaceful life becomes increasingly chaotic when his disciples begin acting strangely around him. Despite believing his only responsibility is to guide them in cultivation and help them grow stronger, his students seem to have completely different intentions.

The more powerful and accomplished they become, the more complicated his situation gets. Rivalries emerge, misunderstandings multiply, and Shen Shi finds himself caught in a whirlwind of unexpected relationships and absurd situations that never existed in his original manuscript.

Now trapped inside a story that refuses to follow his script, Shen Shi must figure out how to survive a world that has somehow become far more unpredictable than the one he originally wrote.
